Thomas Catlaw

Thomas is a sound artist, field recordist, and musician
based in Arizona’s Sonoran Desert on the
ancestral lands of the O’Odham (known as the Pima),
Piipaash (known as the Maricopa), and their ancestors.

I am in the early stages of a years-long project to generate field recordings and sound art in dialogue with locations along Arizona’s Verde River. The project aims to work through the River’s four seasons, generating field recordings as well as creating soundscapes of the visual and biological elements of the River and its ecosystem.
